Skin chemical peels can manage a number of skin conditions such as acne, melasma and other pigmented conditions, as well as skin rejuvenation. They also offer a good introduction to skin aesthetics and complements well with botox and dermal filler treatments.
Different types of chemical peels and their clinical indications will be discussed on the course. There will be an emphasis on the superfical and medium depth peels - Easy Phytic, Easy TCA (15% TCA). In the U.K., these peels are only distributed to medically trained professionals. These can be easily incorporated into your aesthetic practice and safely adminstered in clinic without anaesthetic unlike the deep peels. The marketing of this potentially very lucrative procedure for your patients will also be discussed.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to perform either an Easy Phytic or Easy TCA under clinical supervision. After an Easy TCA peel, it is expected there will be mild erythema and there maybe small amounts of skin peeling, similar to a mild sun-burn, lasting 3-5 days. There usually is no downtime.
If you are able to, please bring your own model to practise on. You will also receive printed course material, which includes documents that can be used to record patient treatments. A recognised certificate will also be issued, which will enable you to obtain malpractice insurance.
